The future is bright. What are we going to do with it? 

Yesterday afternoon, on the last day of 2012, I sat in the sunshine with a cup of chai tea and wrote out my "2013 Bucket List", my resolutions, plans, goals, and dreams for the new years. Reflections on the past days that collected together to create 2012, the year we kissed goodbye last night, those opportunities now over, it's challenges faced and overcome, the mistakes made and the dreams pursued. I mused on the past, the changes that need to be made, the lessons I've learned. The questions I always consider when the cover of one year's book is closed and another one open. 

What do you want to do differently? What will you do today that will make you proud in a year? One year from now, what do you wish you had started today? 

  For years, I've chosen a word at the start of each new year. A word to define my goals for the fresh start. This year, my "word" is fearless. I want to fearlessly pursue Jesus, big and crazy dreams, and live each and every day in a way bravely. To fearlessly do what I know God has called me to do, even if no one else understands. 

What are you dreams, friend? What are your goals? What do you want to change? I hope & pray our new year is a growing year, a new season of fresh starts and dreams come true. 

I'm so excited about this year, and thrilled to be on this journey with you! I love this precious community and I have some very exciting things coming to Sweetness Itself. More to come in the coming weeks :) My heart and part of the reason I began Sweetness Itself is to use my little blog and platform here to encourage and inspire women, and to build friendships and a sisterhood.
