Gift Guide: Toddlers
Here it is, my sweet friends! My first 2019 Gift Guide! I hope it helps you shop for the little ones in your life and inspires you as you prepare to give gifts this Christmas season.
As I made this guide, Weston sat beside me most of the time and helped me pick out these toys — so, they are truly toddler-chosen and approved! haha!
Wooden Blocks: Weston plays with these every single day — ever since I got them for him when he was 1-2! He makes all kinds of creations with them. I love that they’re wooden. They’ve lasted and held up very well for us!
Water Wow Books: These activity coloring books are a dream for parents AND littles alike :) I bought Weston his first set on one of our trips to Europe, when he was two. These kept him occupied for long flights, care rides, and train rides. They come with a chunky pen — you fill it up with water and they can color to their heart’s content! They’re reusable and have lots of fun pictures, letters, numbers, shapes, etc. inside. They’re a must for us every time we travel, especially. Weston really enjoys them — and he has from age two - three!
Cozy Jammies: I love investing in nice, new pajamas for Weston at Christmastime and these are so sweet.
Green Toy Firetruck: This is on Weston’s favorite toy’s list! We gave this to him for his third birthday this year and he plays with it daily and it’s waterproof, so he brings it into the bath with him, too! This whole line (which I often see for good deals at Home Goods, FYI) is darling, safe, recyclable. I want the whole line! Of course, this fire truck is his fav!
Plush Rocker: This Pottery Barn Kids rocker is a bit of a fancy splurge but soooo lovely, soft, and sturdy. It’s the kind of toy I plan to use for every little one we may have, and then pass it along to the next generation someday. We bought ours when West was just a few months old (we found it on a good sale at the time!) and it’s been in his nursery/bedroom since then. He’s played with it consistently for three years, although I do recommend it for younger toddlers, even though Weston does still ride it!
Play Camera: This is going in Westie’s stocking! I just got it in the mail a few days ago and it seems really well made. As I put together this guide, Little Guy saw it over my shoulder and his eyes lit up, “What’s that!!?!” He’s been into pretending to take pictures lately so I think it’ll be a win on Christmas morning. I really love all wooden toys. So classic and makes me feel like I’m living in the Little House on the Prairie days ;)
Hunter Rain Boots: You just can’t beat them. Hunters have my heart. I’ve worn mine every winter for years, and every trip we’ve taken. Weston had a pair when he was one-two and wore them out! They’re so quality, you can always pass them down to the next sibling or cousin, and easily sell them second hand. Mamas want these haha!
Wooden Castle: My grandma gave this to Weston last Christmas, and it is beautiful. It’s one of his favorite daily play-with items in his room, and it’s one of my favorite things in our home! It’s just gorgeous, detailed, sturdy. (This adorable little Royal Family goes with it!)
Bike: This is on my dream list! Classic and so cute, perfect for little one’s who are learning to ride a bike!
